The Resonance of Youthfulness and Grassroots Quality: “New Comedy” in the Wave of New Popular Literature and Art

摘要: “新喜剧”主要包括单口喜剧、素描喜剧、漫才喜剧、即兴喜剧等新兴喜剧形态。近年来,“新喜剧”总体呈现出繁荣发展态势。在新大众文艺的时代潮流下,“新喜剧”在文化上显示出青年性与平民性共振的重要趋向:其一方面坚守青年性,另一方面则在本土化过程中,越来越多地呈现出“视角下移”的平民性,越来越自觉地借助新的喜剧修辞策略和媒介技术手段,表达普通民众的生命经验和生存立场,从而创造去等级化的平权性公共文娱空间。这种趋向具有重大历史意义,代表了一种新的青年文化发展方向。

Abstract: “New Comedy” primarily encompasses emerging comedic forms such as stand-up comedy, sketch comedy, manzai comedy, and improvisational comedy. In recent years, New Comedy has exhibited an overall trajectory of vigorous prosperity. Under the contemporary tide of New Popular Literature and Art, New Comedy demonstrates a significant characteristic tendency marked by the resonance between youthfulness and grassroots quality: on the one hand, it maintains the youth-oriented qualities it has long embodied; on the other hand, in its process of localization, it increasingly manifests a “downward shift in perspective” toward the grassroots, consciously employing new comedic rhetorical strategies and media technological means to articulate the life experiences and survival standpoints of ordinary people, thereby creating de-hierarchical and egalitarian public spaces for cultural entertainment. Such a trajectory carries profound historical significance, representing a new direction in the development of youth culture.
